Privacy & the Keychain Game
The short, honest version
What we collect
- An optional first name.
- An optional email, to keep your stats together across keychains. That’s all it’s used for, unless you tick “Also send me Maricopa home updates from Mike.” Then Mike may also email you about Maricopa real estate, and your email is kept in his contact list for that. Changed your mind? Email Mike and you’re off it.
- The times keychains get tapped.
- Anonymous usage analytics: which steps and buttons get used on the keychain pages (say, whether the game was opened), tied to a random code for the phone, never your name.
- Microsoft Clarity, to see how pages are used (taps and scrolls, with anything you type masked).
That’s the whole list.
What we never do
- No location tracking. When a keychain is tapped from outside Arizona, all we read is your phone’s time zone, never where you are.
- We never sell your data, don’t share it, and don’t run ads.
- A couple of small cookies only keep the game from miscounting taps.
Names on the board
- Your first name is optional. Leave it blank and the board shows only your character.
- Never a last name, even if you type one.
- Changed your mind? Name & character in your Keychain HQ hides or shows your name.
- Names are screened for inappropriate words.
For younger players & parents
- The keychain game is meant for ages 13 and up, and it’s purely for fun: nothing financial is at stake in the points.
- We deliberately collect almost nothing.
- Want your child’s name or email removed? Email Mike and it’s done, no questions asked.
Your data, your call
- Want your name or email wiped from everything? Email mike@livinginmaricopa.com and it’s handled.
- It’s your information. You’re always in charge of it.
